(June 28, 2026) By a unanimous 94-0 vote, Pasadena Community Church members made the difficult decision to offer the sanctuary pipe organ for sale. ( See the motion here. ) The members agreed that PCC would consider donating the organ to a recipient who would make honorable use of the instrument that has been a centerpiece of our worship services for 60 years.

The vote follows months of prayer, research, and a town hall meeting to answer member questions about the cost of removing, storing, and reinstalling the organ in a new sanctuary. The half-million-dollar expense far exceeds the cost of a new digital organ (estimated to cost around $260,000.)

Right away, PCC will begin contacting organ online groups, clearinghouses, brokers and any leads that you send our way. Send a message with contact information for a potential buyer to Al Tompkins, PCC Lay Leader.
