A Four-Manual American Classic Pipe Organ
Fully Restored • 3,422 Pipes • 64 Stops

A Rare Opportunity
Built by M. P. Möller in 1959, Opus 9258 is a four-manual American Classic pipe organ of exceptional scope.

In 2024, Pasadena Community Church invested more than $300,000 in a comprehensive restoration. Every windchest was releathered, every pneumatic restored, the console completely rebuilt with a new Matters solid-state control system, and the pipework cleaned and revoiced.

Before the final tuning and voicing could be completed, Hurricane Milton forced the church to close its sanctuary. The organ itself was untouched. Today, it remains exactly as the craftsmen left it—fully restored.

The beautifully restored console combines traditional Möller craftsmanship with a new Matters control system featuring solid-state switching, extensive memory levels, optical key action, USB connectivity, and modern reliability.
The console cabinet was carefully refinished to restore its original appearance while preserving the craftsmanship that has distinguished Möller instruments for generations.

The 2024 Restoration

Pasadena Community Church commissioned a comprehensive restoration of M. P. Möller Opus 9258 in 2024. Every major mechanical system was rebuilt or renewed by Lewtak Pipe Organ Builders, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern control technology. The result is an instrument that is mechanically restored while preserving its original tonal character.

Every rank was carefully cleaned as part of the restoration. Reed work was refurbished, façade pipes polished, and the instrument prepared for its final tuning and voicing.

Completely Restored Console
The four-manual console was refinished to its original furniture-grade appearance and rebuilt with a new Matters solid-state control system. New drawknob actions, updated coupler controls, optical switching, modern memory levels, USB connectivity, LED lighting.

Thousands of Pneumatics Releathered
More than 4,000 pneumatic pipe pouches and primary valves were releathered using premium sheep leather manufactured to original specifications.
Windchests were completely rebuilt to provide decades of dependable service.
and a restored pedalboard combine traditional craftsmanship with modern reliability.

The restored pedalboard, expression shoes, toe studs, and console appointments reflect the same careful attention given to every component of the instrument.

Ready for Its Next Home
The renovation included complete refinishing of the console and bench: sanding, repairing, sealing, and clear-coating to its original furniture-grade finish. The pedal board was replaced with a vintage M. P. Möller unit and finished to match the restored console. Craftsmen refurbished bolsters, swell shoes, the crescendo pedal, and installed new toe studs.
