(October 11, 2023) The Building Oversight Committee took a big step forward by starting to interview two leading bidders for the purchase of the PCC-owned properties. The properties have drawn interest from multiple bidders. The two bidders who made presentations Tuesday night (whose names are not being disclosed by mutual agreement) made detailed presentations to the committee about their visions for the properties, they answered questions about their financial backing and answered committee questions about why this project would be important to them.
The committee will take the presentations under consideration and will make decisions soon about whether to accept one of the bids before them or to interview other bidders.
While this is a significant step for the land sales process, a sales closing, construction and moving the preschool is still at least a year away, in all probability.
