August 10, 2023) The Building Oversight voted to begin marketing the two PCC properties that the church is offering for sale to be listed for a combined total of $9.5 million.
Until now, the church has not placed a price on the properties, instead allowing potential buyers to make offers. The listing agent is in active conversation with several interested developers and will begin gathering more information about potential offers.
Typically, developers need about a year after signing a contract to buy a property before the sale can close. In that time, the potential buyer navigates zoning laws, assesses building conditions and refines engineering and building plans. So, even if the church could sign a contract to sell the properties before the end of this year, it would likely be late 2024 or even 2025 before construction and renovation could begin in earnest.
